Meeting in Vienna, September 2007

Hi folks,

As evoked during our last meeting (nearly)altogether in May, it would be nice to plan a meeting in Vienna at the end of September, just before Gwen finishes his working period

The most appropriate time we've already talk about was the last week of September, is it still topical?

At present, a part of the Marseille team is at the ICMC in Denmark so we will have to wait for their come back to get their replies...let's see

For me this is still okay. I am avaiable the whole week!

Part of our institute may be gone to a conference (ÖPG), (in particular on the 25th of september most of of us will be gone. Berhard?) but this should not be too much of a problem.

I have to be in Marseille the 28th, would it be a problem for you all to plan the meeting before or after this date ? If not, I will try to cancel my other meeting....

It seems it would be better for us to come on the first week of October (despite I'm still waiting for the availabilities of Solvi and Richard ); from the 1st to the 5th...or more

When did Gwen plan to leave Vienna? It would be perfect if he could stay up to the the 3rd so that we can summarize his work. Then, we shall plan the future tasks without his presence (but he we will be welcomed among us )

I hope every missing minds will reply quickly in order to plan the travel

Hi everybody !

Unfortunately I have already booked my plane on the 28th of September (I couldn't stay longer in Vienna, because I have a presention to do in Nantes, in the 1st week of October ).

So if your institute can't come the last week of September, I'll let Bernhard and Peter summarize you my work. But maybe could you come at the end of the last week of September. Thus I'll have time to present you my work and then you could have a lot of discussions on it .

Actually, among the 5 people from Marseille implicated in this visit to Vienna, 2 of them haven't answered yet, and the other 3 (Thibault, Sabine and myself) have different obligations in Marseille during the last week of September. Therefore, it seems impossible to plan the meeting during this week. This is why Thibault has proposed the first week of October.

Another possibilty could be to postpone the meeting a little bit more (after Gwen's last exam) and try to find budget to fly him back in.....

I'll try to find out, if there is a possibility for that until tomorrow.

If you see a possibility to pay for that, let me know!

Good idea! But don't "postpone" the date too much, I won't be available the last week of october

sorry for this extremely late answer...
I'm available from now on till about the middle of October.
I think I would prefer the first week of October if end September is impossible for Sophie and Sabine -
(by the way, really nice picture with the croatian beer, Sophie )

I propose that we make a decision coming Monday, since Richard
is in Madrid at the ICA till tomorrow.
I don't know if he'll be able to come to Vienna this time, but we should
discuss this on Monday.

Hi !

I won't be available the first week of october as I have to be in France for my presentation in my school. Moreover I plan to have some interview in the second week (but nothing is scheduled till now, so if no other solution is possible it could be ok for me !)

So finally the best for me is to come back on the 3rd (15/10 - 19/10) or 4th (22/10 - 26/10) week of October.

I hope we could find a date soon !

As a preparation for our discussion, our restrictions:
Gwen is avaiable starting with the 15th, maybe earlier.
Berhard is avaiable all october, except 18th to 21st.
Dr. Deutsch is avaiable all october, except 10th to 11th.
I am avaiable all of october, if we can fix a date soon. (I have to go to denmark, but can adjust the dates.)

I'm sorry I was in the experiment room when you tried to reach me by phone!

I've just had a discussion with Solvi and Richard. It seems we agreed on the following dates: from the 14th to the 18th (or till the end of the week ) of October. Nevertheless, Sabine and Richard will probably not come because of their respective schedule By the way, the most important is that each scientific field is represented, that will be the case

So, you can inform your Institute about our venue. The last question is how to pay Gwen's travel but I know you already talked about that with Solvi. I hope we can find an easy solution

Concerning my subscription to the University of Vienna we have to complete that for sure. I thank you for trying to get informations If we can't avoid the waiting in line we will have to freeze a morning or an afternoon to go to the appropriate office...

we've finally agreed on the dates. Sophie, Thibaud and myself will come on Sunday 14th (14:10) and stay at the pension
Liechtenstein in Hörlgasse 9. Sophie and myself will stay till the 18th, while Thibaud will stay till the 19th.
